Language
In order to take Spanish courses that grant credits in PUCE, students must take the Spanish Placement Exam at their arrival to the university. They can take Faculty courses only if they pass level 5. Or level 6 if they want to take Literature courses.
Visas
• All visitors need to have a valid passport with an expiration date of six months at least
• At their arrival, visitors will fill an immigration card. It is important to keep this document within the passport
• Paperwork to obtain a visa has to be processed in Ecuadorian consulates in foreign countries and the census when students arrive to the country (maximum 30 days after arrival)

• Colombian and Peruvian citizens need an student visa to study at PUCE as well. In addition, Colombians need pasado judicial for registration and census of their visas
• If travelers enter Ecuador with a tourist visa, they will not be able to change their immigration status during their staying in the country

SHORT-TERM PROGRAMS
PUCE offers short-term programs to international institutions. If you are one, and you want to come with a group of students, we can create a tailored temporary course according to your needs. Our short-term programs have three components: 1) academic, 2) cultural and 3) touristic. The duration can vary from two weeks to one month. In all our temp programs, we put at your disposition our services such as accommodation with host families.
